This HDMI on-camera monitor supports video signals up to 4K30p, offers a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits for daylight use, and can run for hours with a single Sony NP-F battery or through the external power input. Compact and lightweight 7-inch camera monitor
The Portkeys HD7H is an entry-level 7-inch monitor designed for passionate filmmakers and content creators on a small budget, or simply as a second, affordable monitoring solution.
Easy-to-read display in bright daylight
The HD7H has a 7-inch display with a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, making it a great monitoring solution for indoor or bright outdoor shooting. The matte screen with anti-reflection coating also provides a wide 178° viewing angle. The panel resolution is 1280 x 720 and it covers 75% of the Rec.709 colour space.
HDMI and connectivity
All ports are placed at the bottom of the Portkeys HD7H, including a full-size HDMI input that supports video signals up to DCI 4K at 24p, UHD 4K at 30p, or 1080p at up to 60p. Next to the HDMI input is an AV input, which also works as a 3.5 mm audio input.
You will also find a 3.5 mm headphone output, a USB Type-A port for future firmware updates, and a DC 7–24 V power input with a 5.5 mm hollow plug to power the monitor externally.
Power solutions for all-day shooting
On the back of the HD7H is an integrated Sony NP-F style battery plate. With a low power consumption of only 10 W, a single Sony NP-F750 battery can power the monitor for up to 10 hours at full brightness, making it suitable for a full shooting day. (Battery optional)
Built-in speaker and audio monitoring
Image quality is important when checking your footage, but audio matters too. That is why a built-in speaker is included on the back of the Portkeys HD7H, so you can review your footage properly.
Comfortable control layout
On the top of the monitor you will find two customisable buttons for quick access to your favourite monitoring tools. The power switch, battery release, and menu and navigation buttons are also at the top, giving you easy access to all controls of the Portkeys HD7H.
User-friendly controls and mounting options
Flexibility is essential on set. For this reason, there are three 1/4"-20 mounting points on the bottom, left and right side of the HD7H. This allows you to mount the monitor easily on your camera, camera rig, tripod, gimbal, table stand and more.
